In her role as a certified nurse practitioner with Premier Physicians in Fairview Park, Ohio, Seana Rutherford provides general and preventative care, treats illnesses, prescribes medications, and conducts patient follow-up. In conjunction with her professional career, Seana Rutherford is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

The American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) recently surpassed 70,000 members. In the group’s 30-plus year history, it has served as the flagship professional organization for nurse practitioners operating in all fields of medicine. From its humble beginnings and through its 2013 merger that saw it join with the American College of Nurse Practitioners, the organization has boasted healthy advancement figures in recent years -- growing in the double digits each year.

When speaking about the historic membership milestone, AANP President Cindy Cooke, DNP, FNP-C, FAANP said that the organization will continue to do its best to equip members with all the tools they need to be the most effective and in-demand healthcare providers in the country.
